Monitor mount for six monitors: the most important questions

Six monitors usually hang three over three on an extended pole: the bottom row is where you work, the top row holds everything that should stay visible at all times, such as charts, prices, monitoring or documentation. This gives you twice the screen space of three monitors without needing a wider desk.

How do I arrange six monitors correctly?

In each row, the middle monitor faces you directly, and the outer ones are angled inward until all of them are about the same distance from your eyes. The top row sits directly above the bottom row. Tilt it slightly downward so you don't have to crane your neck.

How large can the monitors be?

With three monitors side by side, width is the limit: the larger they are, the further you turn your head and the higher the top row sits. The Setup Finder checks whether your models fit.

How much weight does a mount for six monitors hold?

The load capacity applies per arm, measured without the stand. Check whether a rating applies to each monitor or to all of them together. For the desk, everything counts: six monitors and the mount itself hang at a single point. For thin desk surfaces or glass, a desk reinforcement plate is recommended.

Can I start with four monitors and expand to six later?

With 3IDEE® ONE, yes: two more hubs and two more heads turn the mount for four monitors into one for six. The pole, clamp and arms stay, you just add on. To get started: monitor mounts for four monitors.

How do I connect six monitors?

Through your graphics card or a docking station: use a graphics card with six outputs, two graphics cards, or a docking station with enough ports. How many monitors a card can drive at once is listed in its spec sheet.

What should I do with twelve cables?

Each monitor needs power and video, so six monitors mean twelve cables. Route them along the arms to the pole and down before you finish aligning your monitors. Leave some slack so that each arm can still be adjusted.

Does a mount for six monitors work with a height-adjustable desk?

Yes, the mount moves with the desk. Include the weight of the mount and six monitors in the total load the desk motor carries, and make sure all cables are long enough for the highest setting.

Will the mount fit my monitor?

If your monitor has a VESA mount and its weight without the stand is below the arm's load capacity, then yes. VESA means four threaded holes in a square on the back, usually 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 mm apart. If they are missing, there are VESA adapters available for your model. The fastest way to check is using the Setup-Finder: enter your monitor model to see compatible mounts.
