Your setup begins with your monitor.

The setup finder checks your monitors' VESA, weight, and size, as well as your desk – and shows you which mounts are compatible.

Monitor mount for ultrawide and heavy monitors: the most important questions

Wide and curved monitors are heavier than standard ones and have their center of gravity further forward. Therefore, a mount for them requires a higher load capacity and a robust tilt joint.

How much load capacity does an ultrawide monitor need?

Significantly more than its weight without the stand. With curved monitors, the weight sits far in front of the mount; this leverage pulls on the tilt joint and causes undersized mounts to tip forward.

Which VESA mount do large monitors have?

Usually 100 × 100 mm, some have a larger hole pattern. Check the back; if the hole pattern does not match the mount, a VESA adapter can compensate for the difference.

Will the clamp hold on my desk?

Yes, if the surface is stable and there is space under the edge for the clamping plate. No drilling is required: the clamp grips the desk edge from above and below. Glass, stone, and thin particle boards cannot withstand the localized pressure on their own; a desk reinforcement plate distributes it over a larger area. Frames, cable trays, or crossbars under the edge may be in the way.

Check the Setup Finder to see if your model fits. For standard monitors, you can find all monitor mounts here.

The monitor tilts forward – what to do?

Tighten the tilt joint on the head a little more. Heavy and curved monitors have their center of gravity far forward and pull harder on the joint; if the weight is close to the load capacity, only a stronger mount will help.
