The setup finder checks your monitors' VESA, weight, and size, as well as your desk – and shows you which mounts are compatible.

Monitor mount for two monitors: the most important questions

A mount for two monitors brings both to the same height and distance, so they look like a continuous display area – without two stands on the desk.

Side-by-side or stacked?

Side-by-side is the standard for offices, programming, and gaming; stacked saves width if your desk is narrow. The top monitor is then tilted slightly downwards.

Can I mount two monitors one above the other?

Yes. With the 3IDEE® ONE, both monitors sit one above the other on an extended pole, each on its own arm and independently height-adjustable. You can assemble this configuration in the configurator: Configure 2 monitors one above the other.

Can I attach two different monitors to one mount?

Yes, if each fits the load capacity of its arm and has a VESA mount. Because each arm is individually adjustable, you can align even differently sized monitors to a common image edge.

How do I get the screen edges flush?

With a mount that allows for fine adjustment of the monitors laterally and in height. First align the height, then push them together laterally, and finally set the tilt of both to be the same.

How wide can two monitors be side-by-side?

As wide as the space the mount allows between the mounts. If the monitors are wider, they will hit each other before they are straight; in that case, a slight angle or a mount with a larger reach helps.

How do I set up two monitors ergonomically?

If you use both equally, the edge between them should be centered in front of you. If you use one more than the other, place it directly in front of you and the second one slightly angled next to it. The top edges should be at eye level or just below, and the distance should be at least one arm's length.

Does the mount fit my monitor?

If your monitor has a VESA mount and its weight without the stand is below the load capacity of the arm, yes. VESA means: four threaded holes in a square on the back, usually 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 mm apart. If they are missing, there are VESA adapters for your model. The fastest way to check is the Setup Finder: enter your monitor model to see the suitable mount.

Will the clamp hold on my desk?

Yes, if the tabletop is stable and there is room under the edge for the clamping plate. No drilling is required: the clamp grips the desk edge from above and below. Glass, stone, and thin particle boards cannot withstand the point pressure on their own; a desk reinforcement plate distributes it over a larger area. Frames, cable trays, or crossbars under the edge may be in the way.

For three screens, there are monitor mounts for three monitors. For an overview, see all monitor mounts.

The monitors are not at the same height – what should I do?

For spring-assisted arms, adjust the spring tension for each arm individually to its monitor weight; only then will both stay at the same height. With classic joints, you align the height on the pole.

The monitor sinks downwards or springs upwards – what should I do?

Then the spring tension does not match the weight of the monitor. Spring-assisted arms have an adjustment screw on the joint: more tension if the monitor sinks, less if it pushes upwards. Always adjust with the monitor mounted. If the weight is outside the range of the arm, it cannot be balanced.
