Accessories for Monitor Mounts
What belongs between the mount and the table.
Monitor mount accessories: the most important questions
Here you will find what belongs between the mount and the desk. Parts for the back of the monitor are listed under VESA spacers & extensions and VESA adapters.
When do I need a desk reinforcement plate?
If your tabletop is made of glass, stone, or a thin, soft material. The clamp exerts pressure on a specific point; the reinforcement plate sits between the clamp and the tabletop, distributing the pressure over a larger surface area so that glass does not crack and thin tabletops do not become dented.
How do I know if my tabletop is too soft?
By the indentation: If a depression remains in the board after tightening the clamp, or if the board gives way under pressure, it is too soft. You can identify hollow boards with honeycomb cores by the dull sound when tapping them.
Does the reinforcement plate fit every mount?
It fits any mount with a desk clamp whose clamping plate fits on the surface. The Setup Finder will tell you based on your desk whether you need one.
The clamp leaves pressure marks – what should I do?
Loosen the clamp, place a reinforcement plate under the clamping disc, and tighten it only until the mount no longer wobbles. More force does not provide a better hold, only deeper marks.
